Founded in 1965, LGIA Super is a is a profit-for-members fund based in Queensland.
LGIA merged with Energy Super in 2021 and rebranded to Brighter Super in 2022.
As of the 31st March 2024 they had approximately 248,200 members with over $32.1 Billion in assets under management.

LGIA Super Insurance

Whilst members are offered Basic Death and Basic Total and permanent Disablement Cover, they can apply for additional cover, which can include Lump Sum Death Cover, Lump Sum Death and TPD cover and Income Protection cover.

Additional cover for Voluntary Insurance Cover is available with the following limits:
Death – $5 million
TPD – $3 million.
Income protection – up to a maximum of 75% or $30,000 per month, whichever is lower.

Insurance is provided by TAL Life Limited.
