If you have been unfortunate enough to have your super fund combine with UniSuper don’t expect any real service from UniSuper or any appology for the lack of service and they close your complaint without actually confirming with you whether it has been resolved, and their senior staff don’t actually want to talk to you as the customer to help. This is of course just my opinion and what I think but be careful!!!

Accessing income protection is a nightmare and is not available until you are out of work for 60 days. The paperwork is excessive and irrelevant it includes a full resume of all jobs you have held

I was disgusted and disappointed that a) Unisuper ceased pension payments over the Christmas period (just when members need them!), and b) that Unisuper did not contact members to let them know that this would be happening. No information whatsoever has been forthcoming from this company regarding either the cessation or recommencement of pension payments; I have absolutely no idea when my next payment is coming into my bank account. What a lazy, greedy way to do business with other people’s money. Where are Unisuper’s ethics?
My second beef with this company is that members cannot access money from different accounts at the same time (e.g. accumulation account and pension account). Instead there was at least a few days’ wait to even apply to access
MY OWN MONEY once I had already applied to access one account. When I spoke to a Unisuper rep about this I was basically told it’s for members’ own good (like they’re doing me a favour!) as sometimes people make a mistake about the account they want to access. What?? So, instead of improving the clarity and ease of their online processes, members have to endure this lazy and unfair one-size-fits-all approach that Unisuper in its wisdom has adopted, which stops me from accessing the funds I need to live. Oh brother! Talk about a law unto themselves. One of my resolutions for the new year is to shop around for a better super fund. These people DO NOT PRIORITISE MEMBERS AND DO NOT CARE!
